Wayne is a Dunghutti man with a strong spiritual connection to Country. He is a founding member of Dhulawang Aboriginal Corporation and a fierce advocate for social change in the fields of Aboriginal health and education. Wayne is an active member of Kempsey’s award-winning Circle Sentencing program, which works to avoid incarceration of Indigenous offenders by bringing together Elders, victims and local magistrates to promote Aboriginal culture and improve social outcomes for local families.

We acknowledge the role of emerging leaders to continue to guide us in the future. We acknowledge the Stolen Generations and the need to change practices to be inclusive. This land always was and always will be Thunggutti/Dunghutti land.
